About Us

Established in 2006, Supportin' Independence Services (SIS) was created to provide support and coordination services to local authorities, offering a range of services, including outreach, family support, supervision and transport services together with 16+ accommodation and support.

Through SIS LIFE, specialist accommodation and support is provided to young adults having mild to moderate learning disabilities or mental health issues.

Working in partnership with social services, it is our objective to enhance the lives, social and economic well being of young adults, children and their families. Ultimately, working in accordance with relevant legislation, our aim is to empower families and young people to take control of their own lives and achieve their full potential.

Our staff team provide positive role models, from a diverse range of cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds; having a minimum Level 3 NVQ qualification in Children and Young People. All staff have regular supervision and undertake mandatory and varied training throughout the year, to maintain high levels of professional development. Being committed to learning, SIS provides student social work training placements from universities.
